Kuri Okowa Season/栗おこわの季節

Kuri okowa season has come! As part of supper tonight, I made kuri okowa, like I do around this time of year every year.
Sorry, photos only. For a description of my recipe, search through my blog.

Third Visit to the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale/大地の芸術祭、三度目の訪問

On Friday, September 4, I visited the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2015 for the third time. Here are some of the highlights.

I had lunch at Kiyotsuya, N-077, located in the Kiyotsu Warehouse Museum.

Only 50 of this bento are available on each day. It was already 12:20, and I didn't expect to be able to buy one. I was the 47th customer who bought the bento, and the last three were sold by others before I finished mine. Someone told me that this particular bento was very popular, selling like hotcakes. Glad I came here on Friday, not Saturday or Sunday.
950 yen. A little bit pricey, but worth the money, I suppose. No drinking water was available for free, so I bought a PET bottle of hoji cha (roasted green tea) for 200 yen.
Naturally, I thanked the staff before leaving the restaurant by saying, "Gochisousama deshita!"
Here's a message from the restaurant.
The ingredients are indicated on the back of the bento box, as well as the additives.
It was one of the most satisfying meals I've ever had while in the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field.

I later unfolded the sheet of paper folded into a hexagon, and found more information about the ingredients of the bento.

At the stall by Kiss & Goodbye, T325, I bought sarunashi ice cream for 350 yen.
Kiss & Goodbye (T325)のそばの売店で、さるなしアイスを買いました(350円)。

This particular product calls sarunashi "Jomon kiwi". I wonder if the people in the Jomon period consumed sarunashi.
A trip is enhanced by good food!

The real highlight of the day was another trip to this artwork, the the Arch of Life, D312.
I found the "box of light" emitting light. I first thought the box was reflecting the evening sun.
I was wrong. This artwork had another improvement made to it: Some kind of lighting device (LED?) was attached inside the box.
Edited to add: Judging from photos taken by other people, it may be that the lighting device was installed right at the beginning, but it didn't emit light when I visited it twice.
追記: 他の人たちが撮った写真から判断すると、照明器具は最初から取り付けられていて、私が二回行った時は光っていなかったのかも知れません。
Sadly, the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2015 ends on September 13. I don't think I can make another trip there.
